Going Bananas! is a goofy, high-energy bluffing party card game for 3–6 players, ages 8+. Every round, one player is the Monkey, hunting for the real Banana. Everyone else gets a secret role and must lie, argue, and make hilarious promises to get picked. Games are fast, the box is travel-size, and the laughs start on round one.

How it plays

Each round, roles are dealt at random based on the number of players. The Monkey is revealed, and everyone else keeps their role hidden. Players make their case, then the Monkey points and yells "BANANA!" and the chosen player reveals their role:

🍌 The Banana: The Monkey and the Banana both score a point.
🌶️ The Chili: Only the Chili scores a point.
🐍 The Snake: Steals a point right from the Monkey!
🥥 The Coconut: Nobody scores.

The first player to collect 3 bananas wins. The rules also include gameplay variations, like passing the Monkey role clockwise each round.

Learn to play

Step 1: Deal the roles
Shuffle the role cards for your player count and deal one face down to each player. The Monkey reveals their card.
Step 2: Act like a Banana
Everyone else bluffs, trades, and makes promises to convince the Monkey they’re the Banana.
Step 3: Yell “BANANA!”
The Monkey points at one player, who reveals their secret role.
Step 4: Score and repeat
Score based on the role picked, then reshuffle and deal again. First to 5 points with 3–4 players, or 3 points with 5–6 players, wins.
